The Jersey Shore Half Marathon may the perfect Autumn half to put on your race calendar. Whether you want to do it as a tune up for NYC or Philly or you just want a great half in an awesome location, check out this race.
The race has a history that places it as one of the oldest distance events held in New Jersey. The first Jersey Shore Marathon was held January 9, 1972. This year’s event marks the 43rd in the rich history.
Basics: Sunday, October 4th. 9 AM for the Half; 9:05 for the Lighthouse 5k. It’s a fast and flat course with clocks and aid stations every two miles. It meanders through Sandy Hook, providing a great tour of Fort Hancock as well.
How To Sign Up Early registration fee is $35.00 can be made by mail and must be postmarked before September 1, 2015. Pre-registration ($40.00) can also be made by mail. All pre-registration entries must be post marked on or before September 24, 2015. Post registration ($50.00) will begin September 28, 2015 and will be available on race day beginning at 7:00 A.M. Post registration will take place at McLoone’s Riverside Restaurant on Ocean Avenue, Sea Bright, and 2 miles south of Sandy Hook. On-line registration is available here.
